Just testing this out to see how this works. So it seems everyone gets their own blog - very cool. Rich text formatting, as in Microsoft Word - even cooler still. Hmm, this blog, together with facebook and xanga puts me at a saturation point, I think. One of the three is inevitably going to suffer from neglect.

On another note, I just found out earlier that the three opening chords of the overture to Mozart's Die Zauberflöte (The Magic Flute) are a Trinitarian symbol, and that the whole opera, in fact, has Masonic ideals grafted onto the plot, the music, and the overall scheme. I've never thought hard about any aspect of this opera; this has always been "pop" music for me (and this popular vein is the starting point of the discussion that we're having in class over the next two weeks). This changes everything about how I hear it, especially Tamino's trial by fire and water... yeah, these are the things you learn when you take a Mozart seminar... g'night.
